The fine print / Privacy
Privacy
The short version
We keep your email to invite you to things, we don't sell anything about you, and you can leave whenever you like.
Effective
August 2026
What we collect
When you join the mailing list: your email, an optional first name, your city preferences, when you signed up, and the page you signed up from.
When you send a partner or contact inquiry: the details you type into the form — organization, name, email, optional phone, city, and your message.
When you buy a ticket: the checkout happens with our ticket partner, on their site, under their privacy policy. We don't see your payment details.
What we do with it
We email you when a social is announced, and we send the event address to ticket holders before the night. That's the job of the list, and that's all it does.
Inquiries are read by the small team that plans events and are used only to reply to you.
We use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand which pages matter. We do not sell or rent anyone's information, ever.
Event photography
Our events are photographed, and photographs are part of how we tell the story of each room. Photographers are credited.
If a photo of you is on this site and you'd like it taken down, email us — we'll remove it, no questions, usually within a few days.
Matching events
If you sign up for answer-based matching at an event, your phone number and email are used once, to send you your match, and your answers are used only to group you.
A phone number is only ever shared with another attendee when both of you have opted in. One-sided consent shares nothing.
Leaving the list
Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and the unsubscribe page on this site works without logging in. Unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
